As a school, this academic year we are working to provide more consistency across the school when setting homework.  All classes and children will have their homework set on a Tuesday.  This will normally consist of spellings (often linked to our new system ‘Ed Shed’), reading and maths.

Each year group shared this information with parents at the ‘Welcome to Year X’ meetings held week beginning 12th September.  All homework is then due to be completed and returned by the following Monday.

The homework will not be the same for all children, as each year group will be focusing on what their priorities for the term are.

The school homework policy is being worked on and is due to be sent out to parents soon.  Thank you to the team of parents who have worked with Mrs Stokes and our governing body to review the current homework policy in place and research new ideas moving forwards.

If any parents/carers wish to contribute to this work, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.  If any parents wish to become a part of the ‘Homework Working Party’, please contact our new Chair of Governors Suzannah Mackay, via the school office.

Thank you for your continued support.
